Re: July 9th Deutsche classic, Oley, PA
I went with a buddy who owns a VW Bug. It was the first long drive in my Scorpio (about 110 miles round trip) and the Scorpio
got 26.5 MPG.
Unfortunately there was rain on and off throughout the day, however the overall turnout still made it worth going to.
The flea market was cool to walk through. Picked up a German license plate that had a German Ford dealer plastic surround.
I suspected before hand that they would be putting me in an oddball category.
So, after I registered, they directed me to an individual to tell me where to park.
This guy was scratching his head.
I tell the guy - "Just put me with all the other German Fords"
Guy - "Huh?"
Me (sarcastically) - "What do ya mean you don't have a German Ford section? What kind of German Car show you running here anyhow!"
Me - "Alright, just put me in the orphan category..."
So there I was with two East German Trabants. Felt kinda jipped, How come no other Merkurs didn't show up?

I'd consider going next year since they apparently changed the venue.
