The beautiful red XR in the article now resides in my driveway! I've owned it for nearly one year now. :D

It is 1486 Merkurs now.

Same pretty much...Minus winter.
I just got a new 4Runner in Feb 2024, it's been sitting in the garage.
It's new, and too nice, the XR is just the XR, nobody cares, so it doesn't get beat up in parking lots or anything.
I'm afraid to drive a new vehicle because people will ding it all up in a heartbeat.

IIRC you had a VW Atlas a couple years back, no? Is the 4Runner a replacement for that or additive to your fleet?

No, the VW was a Touareg TDI, company vehicle.
The 4Runner is a replacement for my Fusion that rusted away.

Ditto

It's a consolation to be called a hero, To be called "Wise investors in highly sought after collectable vehicles" would have been more heart warming.

I would say Scorpios make up a very small slice of the 1500 total. Therefore we must conclude: Scorpio Owners = "More heroic".
