Sounds like a great way to become a Merkur enthusiast! If it's a late 87 with upgraded brakes/steering/exhaust manifold yet still a bi-wing (especially a mono white/black) that would really be a great way to join the club. Good luck with the sale.

Yes - mid 1987 so 15 inch stock rims, updated stereo and dash, improved brake boost. It also has a rapido intercooler and large VAM. As I’ve mentioned - lots of extra parts. I went to junkyards for over a decade hoarding parts. I want to say I have 2 dozen coolant tanks! It has only seen a few thousand miles of use in the past 20 years but starts right up for a annual car wash and once over.

Regarding selling price - I am not entertaining anything under 5K.

Hello! I am very glad I found this post, I have been off and on Craigslist and Facebook marketplace for the past year looking for a Merkur Xr4ti. I have a pretty big obsession for Merkurs. Even though I have never owned one, or driven one. Ever since I saw one as a child I thought they were so weirdly cool(I am 22 now, if that makes sense lol). I did have a 84 mustang GT350 with a 2.3 Turbo. Oh boy do I love those engines and 5 speeds. Needless to say I am very interested, willing to travel. I am from Washington but I am currently in Texas for work. New to the forums specifically for this ad.
