Did Jerry drive a XR4TI?

Post by andyofcolumbusmerkur »

Such a great show. Netflix spent half a billion for the rights to stream re-runs wow. 100 million a year on a five year deal over a show about nothing. I wonder if any pictures exist of Jerry or anyone from the show driving a Merkur? Jerry is usually driving a BMW or Saab on the show, but his own personal 1973 Porsche 911 2.7 RS was shown parked on the street in an episode. Who owned the other cars? The producers or possible cars on loan from a local dealer?

I catch episodes locally over the air/broadcast on two local stations, 4:30-5.00 and 10;30 p.m.

Also The Office from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

YMMV

And of course the parking garage episode. You see the same few cars over and over parked differently. But they save the best for last.

Just a WAG: being car-aware, J knew the XR from front and back stood out from the hoi polloi/bougie more-doors from F/GM/Chrysler so those scenes would be eye-catching if not memorable.

YMMV
