1987 Merkur XR4Ti w/ Rapido FMIC upgrade

Post by sdustinc »

Hey guys and gals, I have a 87 xr4ti ready to go. 3" turbo back exhaust, rapido front mount intercooler upgrade, Garrett T3/T4 hybrid turbo, sway bar, boost controller, 150mph gauge upgrade. Power windows, manual sunroof. Has about 100k on it but the new gauges reflect about 108k...condition 8/10. Red exterior, gray interior. New tires, all service records, shop manuals, extra gaskets, you name it. Also has the super coupe head upgrade. ECU is already tuned and gtg. I have a narrowband hooked up but the last thing I wanted to add was a AEM wideband just never got to it. Comes with a ton of parts including a Ford Sierra grill, 2 additional intercoolers (one is off a t bird) and 4 boxes of spare parts and miscellaneous stuff for the car. I even have the good old bra for it. Located in Lexington, KY. Just recently tuned and gone through. It was leaking oil from the oil return line on the turbo so I put the stinger upgrade on it. New valve cover gasket as well. Timing belt done less than 10k miles ago. Pulls hard at 20 lbs of boost and is as reliable as it gets. Manual transmission, new stage 2 clutch...this thing needs nothing but a driver who wants to go fast! Shoot me some offers, this is a complete project that is road ready. Thanks and happy boosting!

It's when you take the head off a v6 supercoupe and put it on an XR?

The confusion comes from the fact that the Super Coupe denotes a V6 model which came after the Turbo Coupe, which uses the same 2.3 Lima 4-cylinder as the Merkur...

The cylinder head on 87 XR4Ti and 87-88 Turbo Coupe are the same thing FYI. From the camshaft to the casting numbers.
