XR Project or Parts car

Posting for a friend.
Don't know the year but from the pics looks like a pre-'88. It's missing the motor/trans and I think the rear end. It's been outside for at least 20yrs. It's in SW OH. If interested, I can connect you with the owner.

Definitely seems like a project car.
