Not a Merkur, but it is another extremely rare car at a car show. In January.
The Merks aren't going out in this sloppy weather. Modern cars can handle this stuff, no problem.
But there will be a Merkur t-shirt!! :headbang

I don't do trailers, so I probably will be driving this home in a snowy, salty mess.
So I'll be going to the car wash when it's all over and the streets dry out.

Quad Cities Cruisers Open Run 40 Car show.

So there was this loud pipes contest.
I was thinking about entering with the ELR (which was operating in EV mode) and was talked into it. So off we went!!
I purposely got behind the guy who won with a Camaro dragster and hid behind a bush.
As soon he was done, I zipped around the corner, stopped in front of the judges, put it in park and floored it.
Not a peep, nothing!!

We we waving at the crowd and then we told we were DQ'd for specious reasons.
But we did get a nice round of applause as we silently drove off.
