Re: Stock piling parts for major work...

I have enough parts to build a second car at this point

No one wants to buy them, I feel too guilty throwing them away...so they sit.

Re: Fuel tank fuel line retainers

Both a packet of the two clips and the fuel line O-rings are/were available on Advance Auto Parts store racks. Standard Ford fuel line items. I've bought each there. YMMV Ditto Ed. Good items to replace when servicing the fuel system, especially at the rail where they are exposed to heating and coo...

Re: 909 Strut Top Fitment

They should work...it's 12mm for those and the spacers look correct. The mounting for the XR is identical for the Sierras. What bushing do you plan to use? You cannot use a powerflex strut top bushing as the inner shape does not match the 909 stuff. JohnV makes his more for his coilovers which use ...

Re: My Build Thread: Project "Rain Cloud"

It has been far too long since I updated this thread. Need to organize 3 years of photos and get to posting updates. All the old pictures have been re-hosted the best that I can. Some are gone unfortunately.

Lots of updates to post, which is a good thing :headbang

:) Thanks Mark! Bit of work, but well worth it.

Re: Forum update coming soon

At the moment, access is restricted to just you and the moderators/admins. It was the simplest way of dealing with permissions, but when I'm more awake I could open it up for general viewing while it's being worked on. There was a lot of good stuff in that thread. Thanks again Mark. I've recovered ...

Re: LF: Parts vendors in here please.

Well, I do recall the ride (and thank you again), and yes, your car ran beautifully and smoothly. 8) I guess I'm an oddball that runs both Chuck's Mounts (with the NLA softer durometer bushings, mind you) and the braces, too. I accept a bit more "tingle" at and off idle for a motor which ...

Re: LF: Parts vendors in here please.

Actually Ed, I seriously doubt you'd be able to tell whether the brace was installed or not. Now if you have poly engine mounts, you still wouldn't be able to tell, but the NVH will increase because of the mounts, not because the braces are missing... This is why I didn't mind ditching those braces...

Have you set idle?

I'd do this first if you haven't already.

Re: Replacement for PBR phenolic pistons

I have registered on this forum for the sole purpose of reviving this thread. I am interested because I am swapping SN95 spindles onto a fox body T-bird and was planning to use the PBR calipers. So, anybody come up with anything since this was last discussed on here? I wish I had something to share...

Re: Strut recommendation 350f/650r spring rates

The Bilstein B6 and B8, and Koni Sports can handle 650 rear. And these same brands will cover 350 front as well, no issues. You can find B8's on Ebay for $100 shipped each right now. If you mean from Autozone, I ordered them and it's clear they don't have them. Ordered, no communication, waited unt...
