Re: Back on the road build.

After putting the coilovers on the front I pit the 8.5" 620lb springs on the back and then came across the latest problem. I couldn't get her out of the garage with out ripping the front bumper off. http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa19/nathanershaw/665FBE59-3E61-4E40-80A4-3CC374EEBDE4_zpsne5...

Re: California emissions questions

Ive heard of Cali XR's passing without a working EGR. They were only in place for visual inspection. Also, why wouldn't the LA3 control the EGR if the tbird had one as well? Just going off other peoples experiences with LA3's and SMOG. The Top Gear car had an LA3 and wouldn't pass and Darren Cole w...

Don't do Rapido, the Merkur Depot setup is the best and most developed in my opinion.

Re: Getting ready to start buying parts, my list sound good?

My order would be:

Polybush / shocks / springs + diff mount everything first.
Brake hoses
Merkur depot rad / intercooler
Then in whatever order you like with the exhaust / /LA3 etc.

Re: Ford Sierra V8 swap parts UK

Search both here & Merkursport for build threads. If you look through the classifieds a few pages back there's a thread for motor and tranny mounts for sale. Check on the Merkur Club of America Facebook page as well. Merkur parts Midwest & Merkur Depot are both really good sources of knowled...

Excellent inspiring stuff as always.

I like it. An oil leak isn't an obstacle....it's an opportunity :)

Re: Back on the road build.

Previously in this cars life an XS Power rad was fitted. It's an 89 so someone chopped off the mounting ears and ran it upside down with one of these fans on a constant live pushing from the front. I finally swapped the fan around and mounted it the proper way. The repaired Saab header tank is where...

T5 cruise control speedo cable?

I have an 89 XR that many moons ago had cruise control.
It doesn't have it now but does still have the cruise control speedo cable.

Which non cruise control speedo cable do I need when I do my T5 tranny swap?
