Re: Need some tire thoughts
I found a shop here in town that got me a set of Toyo Extensa HP in 195/50/15 but that was awhile ago. It made a big difference in acceleration having such a low profile tire. I’d imagine that’s a big boost in acceleration - the tires are over 6% smaller. Maybe too small for me, but I’ll put the To...

Re: replace oil pan gasket in car?
Car is done and back together. Fill everything up and started it last weekend to let it warm up, circulate oil and see if any leaks show up. So far, nothing. Used a few cans of foaming engine cleaner to try and get all the grease and grime off the bottom, then powerwasher. Much cleaner and nice look...

Be at the fairgrounds Friday & Saturday, park with the group.
If you have registered your car, you'll be parked with everyone else.

Re: Harvesting Seat Track Feet for Alternate Seats
Interesting, I've got a pile of original XR seat tracks that I've been itching to just toss, but I feel bad doing so, therefore they just sit in the middle of the floor/walkway. Maybe if I could find some other seats to swap I'd give it a shot.

Re: Turn Signals/Switch
Update on my taillight/turn signal problem. The turn signal stalk went south, and the wiring connector on the passenger side was partially melted. Thank you to Mike at Merkur Depot for supplying me with a bulb holder and pigtail connector, and to Jeff at Merkur Midwest for a Euro turn signal stalk....

Re: Carrier Bearing Identification
To my knowledge, the MT models never had a carrier... Doorman is the only one I can see that makes the "stock" part. Their site says it only fits 86+ AT models. If anyone has a similar setup, I'd appreciate if one could provide measurements so I may check if it is actually Dorman 934-012....

Re: Carrier Bearing Identification
Hello again. Sorry for the sort of vague post the superbowl party left me a little discombobulated. Here is an image of the carrier; https://i.imgur.com/3joeJd5.jpeg This was taken from the rear looking forward. It looks funny because I stuffed some fuel hose in the housing to take up some of the g...
