Hi Nath,

On the picture with the new oil filter, it appears that your dip stick tube is not seated all the way down and will be taking too much oil to get to the correct level. You may have to bend the bracket on the intake a bit to get it pushed all the way home.

If it was cut with a standard hacksaw blade, that's about 25 thou thick... your not going to notice any loss in width.. :shock:

My old white XR needed the small vam on to pass smog, you may have the same issue.

Yeah it was higher than I wanted it to be.
But with a bit of custom work you can make anything look ok...just takes time and some grey matter.

We used to make hydraulic handbrakes, using Hillman Imp master cylinders and some old bed angle iron.. memories.. lol.

Im pretty sure the dash I fitted came from a M3 coupe, I just cut the sides to allow it to sit close to the windshield.. never cut anything from the back at all.

Glad you liked the BMW dash swap, it really follows the contours of the XR windshield nicely.. doesnt take too much cutting and hangs off the car with a few custom made brackets, that I welded to the car. The gauges have a lot of electronics inside , I couldnt follow the scematics... so I gutted the...

Spray some ether into the intake and see if it runs, if it does investigate the fuel system further.

I was once using brake cleaner by where someone had cleaned the floor with some acidic chemicals, did not know that I had passed out and woke up in hospital, and could not breath in or out because of the pain in my chest.

Nasty stuff.. :cry:
